1 Minute With Naomi: Beach Body 2017: What To Focus On NOW

Hey there. Welcome to 1-Minute with Naomi. You’re here to be inspired with practical and unique ways to transform your health and your life.

 

Today, let’s talk about Beach Body 2017. Here’s what you need to focus on NOW!

 


 

To be clear, we all already have beach bodies. You have a body—just go to the beach. But if you’re looking for that so-called “beach body” that’s firm and fit, now is the time to be working on that, so you can take it to the beach this summer.

 

No lies, it’s a LOT of work. Even after losing 150 pounds, I never had that so-called “beach body” myself. However, I know exactly how to get you there.

 

If you want that beach body, here’s what you need to do:

 

Eating 101

 

You’re going to be focusing a lot on your eating. You’re going to be eating healthy 80-90% of the time. There’s very little room for slip ups here. So, I highly encourage people to do some sort of food journal. Log your food in an app that tracks it.

 

You’re also going to be doing meal prep for at least 2 of your 3 meals that you have each day. So, that might be breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner, etc. You’re going to make HALF of your meals EASY to prepare. So, they might look kind of boring. They might just look like broccoli and chicken breasts sometimes. It needs to be easy BECAUSE you’re going to be spending a lot of time in the gym.

 

Gym 101

 

Let me tell you, you’re going to be in the gym every single day. Somedays, it’s going to be for maybe 30 minutes (depending on what else you’ve got going on it your life), but most days it needs to be at least an hour.

 

You will be focusing on weight lifting and cardio. So, at least (at the very least) you’ll be lifting weights 3 times a week so that you are firming up and getting a little bit more muscular in some of the areas you’ll be losing fat from.

 

You’ll be losing fat in the form of cardio. You WILL be doing cardio—I’m sorry. UNLESS you want to have a bulky beach body with just more muscle and fat. It’s up to you.

 

BUUUUUUT What’s Better Than Having a Beach Body?

 

Losing weight and maintaining it for the rest of your life! There are so many people that take this rigid route of going for that ultimate beach body, but then fall and winter come and they lose track. They give up. There’s nothing to work for anymore.
