I used to suffer a lot of perfectionism and false expectations. This week's video is all about learning to embrace progress over perfectionism.
Can you use the power of reflection to look back on your life over the last few years and see your progress?
Nothing happens EXACTLY as we expect it to.
There will be days or weeks that feel like complete failures. That's really to be expected. There's nothing in nature that's a straight, even course. You'll have your ups and downs. Sometimes, you'll have more ups than downs. Sometimes it'll be the opposite.
But there's always progress as long as you are continuing to get back up from your failures and take a few steps in the right direction.
Also, what might look like a failure or a setback to you, looks completely different to someone else. We all have different standards and rules for what we think we should be doing. While you're busy beating yourself up for giving into that ice cream, your friend may be applauding you for losing 15 pounds and always going to the gym.
Don't be so harsh with yourself and embrace the journey. It's ALL Progress!
